A gorgeous silver plated lamp that will look amazing in a vintage home decor setting. This English Antique will make a stylish bedside light or put in a lounge with a more modern contemporary look as an eye catching statement piece.
The technical bit-
This original neo classical style lamp was probably made at the start of the 1900’s. It is made from a quality silver plate and although the makers mark is not complete it probably originated from the Sheffield makers Henry Wilkinson & Co. The lamp is engraved with a Griffin family crest which may suggest this was made for a stately home from the Sheffield area connected to the Wentworth Woodhouse estate. No current mains electric cable would fit this lamp so it has been wired on a mains powered 12v system. The amber glass lampshade dates from the 1960’s but is in keeping with the lamps original style, it is retained by a spring clip fitting
