The technical bit-
This is a beautiful & very rare lamp base made by Volpi Deruta in Italy circa mid 1950’S.
A great unusual piece from Maiolica Derutese Volpi, showcasing Serafino Volpis adventurous forms & decors.
The decoration is superb, hundreds of raised white dots laboriously applied by hand with a pump surround stylised butterflies and rooster heads. The upper part of the lamp contrasts eyepoppingly with a bright glossy blue glaze swirl. Fully rewired but retaining its original b22 bulb holder.

2.5” dia base x 9” to top of bulb holder
6cm dia base x 23cm to top of bulb holder
For overseas buyers this can be supplied with a EU or US plug together with a bulb converter from bayonet to small Edison screw
For US buyers this lamp will be tested in a 240V to 120V stepdown voltage converter which will ensure that it will be suitable for a US supply.
