This vintage brass pivoting lamp will add some English style to your early 1900’s home decor. The perfect british gift for a lover of brass & glass antique lighting or treat yourself to this quintessential statement piece
The technical bit -
This brass lamp has no makers mark, it has a pivoting joint enabling the position of the lamp. The base is heavily weighted with what would have been a poured molten metal suggesting this was possibly intended for use in a train carriage or ship. When found this was in a very unloved state ( see last photo) and has been disassembled cleaned and rewired on a 3 core vintage style earthed cable . It has been fitted with new brass gallery and a vintage glass shade dating from the 1970’s but in an earlier style.
