This vintage Art Deco nut bird lamp will be perfectly at home in your 1930s British vintage decor. This will make a gorgeous accent light in a vintage setting or in a lounge with a more modern contemporary look as an eye catching statement piece.
The technical bit-
A rare example from a range of MID 30’s Art Deco craftsmanship consisting of bookends, ashtrays and smaller numbers of lamps. Although unmarked this is a quality item and may be the work of the YZ company by the ever popular HENRY HOWELL.
Made of hard wood with the bird being made from the Tagua nut with phenolic bakelite feet and beak together with very crisp bright glass eyes. The bird is mounted on a branch silhouetted against a half moon yellow glass representing the sun. This lamp is in perfect condition with its original bakelite bulb holder. It has been sympathetically cleaned with a wood cream, hand buffed and rewired with a new vintage look braided wire and safety tested. Complete with a low wattage mains bulb compatible with 240v & 120v supply.
For overseas buyers this can be supplied with a EU or US plug
For US buyers this lamp will be tested in a 240V to 120V stepdown voltage converter which will ensure that it will be suitable for a US supply.
