The Technical Bit -
This steampunk style lamp is made from a repurposed 1950’s telephone bell box fitted with a 12v mains power supply with 2 switches that independently operate different features of the lamp.
- The right hand switch is a dimmer operating the main lamp which is a small 1960’s inspection lamp on a flexible gooseneck. By rotating the gear cog the lamp is dimmable.
- The left switch simultaneously operates a blue led lamps in the front window together with the two red bubble columns.
