This pair of retro telephone lamps would make a fantastic gift for someone who likes psychedelic decor or maybe you’re looking for some quirky lamps for yourself. This one has been decoupaged with a bright psychedelic pattern in rainbow colours and the central ring and handset ends painted yellow. The whole piece has been sprayed with a matt varnish to seal it and give it a more luxury finish. Each Phone Lamp is decoupaged individually by hand and as such placement of the design will vary with each lamp.
The technical bit-
These have been created from authentic Vintage GPO rotary dial telephones which were no longer working or viable to convert to digital.
A flexible chrome goose neck fitting has been secured between the base and the handset to enable a 12V power supply to the handset, complete with led capsule bulb.
The lamp is switched on with a low voltage inline switch permanently wired within the telephones case
These phones have had all the original internal wiring removed, so no matter how hard you try you can't connect to a landline but the dial does work and your children will be amazed at how long it takes to dial a number on one.
We make these pairs ‘handed’ so they are great for either side of a bed etc.
Your lamps will come complete with their own 12V power supplies with a 1m cable. For an additional cost we can supply a pair of extension cables of either 1m or 3m giving more flexibility.
We can supply a 2 Pin European, US or Australian power supply if you wish.
