This quirky miners helmet lamp is the perfect nostalgia gift for a retired coal miner or a lover of our industrial heritage. Can you imagine the look on his face when you present him with such a unique piece of historical industrial decor. A coal miners style helmet with a lamp that turns on using the original switch together with an under helmet down light that gives a soft glow.
The technical bit -
Made using an original vintage helmet complete with a helmet light and vintage hand pick mounted on a solid wooden base.
This lamp is powered by a low voltage mains supply with an inline switch that operates a strip of led lights mounted in the underside of the helmet to give a gentle downward glow.
There is secondary lighting in the original helmet lamp with torch style bulbs that operate by the original switch. Finally there is an original small carbide lamp with a modified reflector fitted bonded to the base to give an additional effect. (This does not illuminate)
We will include spare bulbs with each lamp.
All bulbs are easy to source and replace.
