This mid century wood table lamp with its glowing pale yellow sugar crystal lampshade is the perfect light for a lover of vintage decor.
This would look gorgeous in a vintage style lounge or in any home with a more modern contemporary look as an eye catching statement piece.
The technical bit-
This vintage wooden lamp dates from the 1960’s. It has been turned from two different wood types in the form of a shaped column on a round base. Having suffered in its past from being in direct sunlight it’s original varnish was severely deteriorated when found. It has been sympathetically stripped and cleaned with a professional cleaner before being waxed and polished. Fitted with a period switched B22 bulb holder it has been fully rewired with two core cable and a new plug. Dating from the same period it is finished with a vintage Rotaflex yellow sugar crystal plastic shade. The shade has lost its original mount and has been slightly modified to sit on a shade gimble but this does not detract from its appearance.
For overseas buyers this can be supplied with a EU or US plug together with a bulb converter from bayonet to small Edison screw
For US buyers this lamp will be tested in a 240V to 120V stepdown voltage converter which will ensure that it will be suitable for a US supply.
