This mid century atomic red lamp is the perfect lighting for a lover of atomic space age decor. This would look gorgeous in a vintage style lounge or in any home with a more modern contemporary look as an eye catching statement piece.
The technical bit-
Made in the late 1950’s this lamp was one of various designs made in popular space age atomic styles by the company WG all using the same component parts and in various colours probably sourced from an Italian supplier. More frequently found in black, this is a nice red example. The design is very typical of its time and has been dismantled and sympathetically cleaned it has been rewired on red braided cable and the original red Bakelite b22 bulb holder and torpedo switch retained.It has been finished with an acrylic shade in keeping with the period that is included in the price. Of particular note is the rare red bulb holder and switch.
For overseas buyers this can be supplied with a EU or US plug together with a bulb converter from bayonet to small Edison screw
For US buyers this lamp will be tested in a 240V to 120V stepdown voltage converter which will ensure that it will be suitable for a US supply.
