The technical bit-
This stunning 1950’s atomic lamp was seriously neglected when found and has been restored to exceed its original glory. A very rare item the shade was made by J.S.PERESS who made bakelite and early plastic lampshades between the 1930’s - 50’s. This particular shade is made in two parts, a coolie style ribbon shade supported by an opaque plastic cone. The shade has had the vinyl ribbon replaced and the original remaining wrap thoroughly cleaned. The cone has a crack which has been glued but this doesn’t show beneath the upper shade. It is mounted on a wire tripod stand which has had the damaged feet replaced. The new feet are a heavy resin ball as opposed to the original wood. Fully rewired with its original b22 bulb holder and a red inline switch from the same period.
For overseas buyers this can be supplied with a EU or US plug together with a bulb converter from bayonet to small Edison screw
For US buyers this lamp will be tested in a 240V to 120V stepdown voltage converter which will ensure that it will be suitable for a US supply.
