This pair of vintage ballet lamps are a great example of quirky 1950s home decor. The wooden lights with scenes depicting the Nutcracker are very unusual and will make great accent lighting in a vintage setting or in a lounge with a more modern contemporary look as an eye catching statement piece.
The technical bit-
These turned wooden lamps date from the late 1950’ - early 1960’s and feature a fish eye lens mounted in the centre. Behind each lens is a print from an artwork of the ballet The Nutcracker painted by Carlotta Edwards, a renowned artist of ballet scenes. Each lamp has been sympathetically cleaned and rewired with a vintage style braided cable. New e14 small edison bulb holders have been fitted along with an inline switch.
