This antique nut bird lamp will be perfectly at home in your 1930s British vintage decor. Complete with a vintage clip on shade or add one of your choice to make a gorgeous accent light in a vintage setting or in a lounge with a more modern contemporary look as an eye catching statement piece.
The technical bit-
A rare example from a range of MID 30’s Art Deco craftsmanship consisting of bookends, ashtrays and smaller numbers of lamps. This example has no makers mark and would have been produced at the time in an effort to compete with the ever popular Henry Howells YZ items of the period.
Made of hard wood with the bird being made from the Tagua nut with a yellow bakelite beak together with very crisp bright glass eyes.
This lamp is in very good condition with an original period bulb holder and an inline switch.
Fitted with a period clip on shade. It has been sympathetically cleaned with a wood cream, hand buffed and rewired before being safety tested
For overseas buyers this can be supplied with a EU or US plug together with a bulb converter from bayonet to small Edison screw
For US buyers this lamp will be tested in a 240V to 120V stepdown voltage converter which will ensure that it will be suitable for a US supply.
4” x 3.5” base x 15.5” high to top of shade
