This vintage african table lamp is a great example of 1950s home decor. This wooden sculpted antelope will make a great accent light in a vintage setting or in a lounge with a more modern contemporary look as an eye catching statement piece.
The technical bit-
This carved lamp in the form of An Antelope originates from Africa and its entire surface is hand carved in what is best described as a snake skin pattern. Carved in a brown African hard wood with an ebonized coating it is probably from the Makonde tribe dating from the 1950’s. Fully rewired and fitted with a new old stock 50’s switched b22 bulb holders to comes complete with an original 50’s Reed shade. It has been brush cleaned, lightly waxed a dry brush buffed to a sheen.
Please remember the shade is 70yrs old and whilst cosmetically good on the outside there are foxing and heat marks on the internal paper liner

For overseas buyers this can be supplied with an EU or US plug
For US buyers this lamp will be tested in a 240V to 120V stepdown voltage converter which will ensure that it will be suitable for a US supply.
