A mid century red & white bakelite atomic lamp that will complement any vintage retro decor or make a great gift for a lover of atomic lighting. This will make a gorgeous accent light in a vintage home or in a more modern contemporary setting as an eye catching statement piece.
The technical bit-
This 1950’s bakelite lamp was produced by PIFFCO and originally had a hardboard back with keyhole slots for wall mounting. Having been completely disassembled and cleaned it has been rewired with a braided vintage style cable and fitted with a contemporary small Edison bulb holder with the push button switch retained. It has been mounted on a wooden base for added stability.
PLEASE NOTE THE HAIRLINE CRACK IN THE SHADE SHOWN IN THE PICTURE. THIS IS A HISTORIC CRACK AND IS VERY STABLE.
For overseas buyers this can be supplied with a EU or US plug
For US buyers this lamp will be tested in a 240V to 120V stepdown voltage converter which will ensure that it will be suitable for a US supply.
